What is coaching?

Coaching is a confidential, one-to-one relationship with a professional who is invested in your success, strategizing and motivating you to perform at your best.  A coach will help you clarify your goals, create a strategy for achieving your goals, and help you to sustain motivation by holding you accountable for the steps along the way.

What will it cost?

Costs vary by client location, the extent of the interventions needed, and the experience of the coach. At Psychology For Business, we are clear about the costs prior to initiating the coaching engagement.  We discuss the format of the coaching engagement (how often, how long at what location, or by phone, etc.). Coaching sessions can be scheduled for 30 minutes once a week, or 60 minutes twice a month, or individualized to meet client needs.

What is a business psychologist and how do they differ from other consultants?

A business psychologist is a psychologist who has completed a doctorate in the field of psychology, usually taking about 10 years of post-high school education, who has specialized training to enhance human well-being and performance in organizational and work settings. At Psychology For Business, we are especially qualified to problem-solve where people problems arise, as we are experts in human behavior and motivation, as well as business systems and organizational dynamics.  We know when a performance problem is related to a motivational issue versus something resulting from a mental health issue. This can be a crucial difference because the actions needed to effectively address the situation can vary significantly.
